Research Opportunities

The Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (URAP) provides a wide range of opportunities to work closely on faculty-led projects.  Several AGRS faculty members participate.

The Nemea Center for Classical Archaeology, directed by Professor Kim Shelton, sponsors internships during the year and the renowned Field School in Greece in the summer.

The Center for the Tebtunis Papyri, directed by Professor Todd Hickey, is housed in the Bancroft Library

Resources for Honors Thesis Writers

The Haas Scholars program (application deadline February) provides students embarking on an honors thesis with a community, funding, and the chance to present their work at a professional conference.

The SURF/L&S Program provides summer funding to support students working intensively on their theses.

The Townsend Center Honors Thesis Workshop (application deadline early November) provides support and guidance to thesis writers in Arts & Humanities.
